My Thoughts on Selling Art

It is a very strange dichotomy for me.

Therefore I have not added any prices to my work. I have not created this site to promote my work but as a platform.

An easy thought-provoking visual and textual station where you can come and go and experience my world.

I do not believe that my craft has a place next to an artist who went through several years of art school with huge amounts of training. With them having gained knowledge of many techniques combined with art history.

It is merely that my spirit has needed a place to express itself freely without clutter from the outside world.

The world of commercial art as I have experienced it over the last twenty five years is such a fickle and disturbing place for me. At the same time intriguing. I have the most treasured friends. Some of the most talented beings on this planet. I have studied their process and helped and supported their journeys through that world. I have watched several crash and burn episodes. I have observed greed and hate and extortion on varying levels. I have walked away at least a couple of times.

In my process, I strive to embrace humility with a few hiccups along the way. I have a few essential techniques from a few courses whilst maintaining my theater background. Where I was taught over and over to observe the other players.

I step back a lot

I observe.

I try and follow my instincts.

I am learning to step aside and let my spirit take over.
